Jessica Huffman

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in ceramics, where I developed a strong appreciation for texture, composition, and the creative process. I've always enjoyed working with my hands and creating something new, and that love of making has remained at the heart of my artistic practice. Although I began in clay, my work took a new direction in 2020 when I discovered mixed media collage. Inspired by a vibrant community of artists on Instagram, I began experimenting with layering paper, paint, and found materials to create abstract compositions that felt both intuitive and expressive.

Today, I create original mixed media collages on paper and on wooden panels finished with resin. My work is inspired by the beauty of organic forms, flowing lines, and endless possibilities of color exploration. I build each piece through layers of color, texture, and mark-making, allowing each composition to evolve naturally. I love seeing where the process takes me and the experience of discovering something new.
